The Storm

It's officially been a week from today that we had that really horrible storm that knocked out all the power. It's had to of been the most scariest storm I'd ever been through; that I can remember. And now, here it is a week later and there's another bad storm coming. I just really hope the power doesn't go out again.

Before it started to hail and rain hard, the wind was blowing extremely powerful. It blew so hard that it picked up Ollie and Lou Dingess' swimming pool and turned it upside down! It bent alot of the poles on it, so now the pool is basically useless. =[

The reason for the power being off was some pine trees had fell down on the power lines. What really made everyone mad was that no one was working on it to try and get the power back on. We went 3 whole days with no power. The power company had to get some men from Mississippi to do a 30 minute job, which really took longer than 30 minutes. Finally, at about 8 PM Saturday the electric came back on! We was all soo happy. =] Luckily, we had a generator so we wasn't really missing anything except for the shower and our beds. I never realized how much I appreciated electric until that experience.

After the storm had finally passed, the sky was soo beautiful. There was a really pretty rainbow, well actually 2 rainbows. =] We was just sitting there watching the pinkish yellow clouds raise leaving a clear blue sky. Here's a picture of the rainbow, it's not very good but I used my photo editing skills to make it more colorful. It was the only one we got but I thought it turned out pretty good.
